While some non-U.S. institutions receive awards directly from the U.S. Government, most non-U.S. institutions that receive U.S. Government funds do so via sub-award from a U.S. institution. The U.S. Government’s expectations are essentially the same regardless of how the non-U.S. institution receives the fund, but for an institution not accustomed to the U.S. compliance environment these requirements can be daunting.
This workshop is an introduction to the various compliance requirements that apply to U.S. government funding and will include:
- S. funding opportunities
- Proposal development
- Award management
- Allowable costs
- Property management
- Conflict of interest
- Human and animal subjects
- Audit standards
- Indirect costs…and how to prepare for an audit.
